There are so many ways in which we all negatively impact the environment every day.
We recognize our company produces software which may cause, in some circumstances, office

assisting our customers' companies on how they can reduce this costly waste.
Here are some tips on using electronic manuals, and how you can do your part in
reducing or eliminating unnessary paper waste:
RETAILERS
- Use e-mail or a web download to distribute your VENDORSYNC vendor compliance manual, instead of
distributing printed versions. This is more economical, faster, and eliminates the
associated impact on our environment.
- Use VENDORSYNC advanced reports to
create views of the manual that may be more useful to the user. For example, use the
Quick Compliance Checklist report to provide a one or two page summary of the requirements
instead of the entire manual.
- When working on revisions to your VENDORSYNC documents with others, e-mail the document changes
instead of printing and marking up requirements.

- Eliminate or reduce the use of color text and images in your documents to eliminate the
need for expensive and hazardous color inks.

to leverage the electronic format. The automatic highlighting feature eliminates the need to
print out the document and use a highlighter pen to mark important information.
- When working with others, try to provide them with only the portions of the VENDORSYNC manual
they need to complete their job. E-Mail or provide a download for them to retrieve their
information. This will minimize the paper & energy resources used if they do need to print
a section, as opposed to printing the entire manual just to get what they need.
- Recycle outdated printed manuals, and securely recycle manuals that do get printed
from electronic form. Recycle them twice by using the outdated manual once as scratch paper,
then recycle it again by sending it to the recycler.
- If the VENDORSYNC manual needs to be printed, try to share one or two copies with others, instead
of printing copies for everyone.
- Use a high volume workgroup type printer to print. These machines are faster, save energy,
and use toners that are more efficient to produce and consume.
